DGUT-CNAM Institute, Dongguan University of Technology (hereinafter referred to as "DGUT-CNAM Institute") is the first public Sino-foreign cooperative education institution established in Dongguan with the approval of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. The DGUT-CNAM Institute is co-founded by Dongguan University of Technology and Conservatoire National des Arts et Metiers (CNAM). It is an important part of the global teaching network of CNAM and an important platform for DGUT's internationalization strategy of growing into a high-level scientific and technological university. The development of DGUT-CNAM Institute is primarily oriented toward the field of intelligent manufacturing. DGUT-CNAM Institute is conducting Chinese-foreign cooperative education in the field of communication engineering, software engineering, mechanical design, and manufacturing and automation, which are all classified under intelligent manufacturing. Students are registered in DGUT and CNAM concurrently, and study in both universities at the same time—they can study at CNAM as exchange students. Students who meet the graduation and degree-granting conditions will be awarded diplomas from both universities.
As a national first-class major of DGUT, we have integrated the long history, mature model, and excellent results of CNAM in the field of engineer training and have introduced the French engineering education concepts and talent training system based on the economic and industrial needs of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. We have established an engineering education model with individual and international characteristics and have created a cradle for fostering international engineers and cultivating high-quality international application-oriented innovative talents.
