Recently, the 2021 YD International University announced its list of winners for the Student Design Award. The performance of the Industrial Design Department of the School of Guangdong-Taiwan Industry Science and Technology in the fierce competition, has been very good. The competitors included many well-known universities, such as Tsinghua University, Tongji University, China Academy of Art, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, University of the Arts London, California College of the Arts, and so on.

Several prizes were won in the “Industrial Design” sector. The work titled “DEburrs”, presented by Wang Zicheng, Chen Zhihui, and Zhang Xinyi from the 2019 batch, won the second prize, while the work named “Cradle for Growth” presented by Chen Xi and Luo Yongwang from the 2018 batch, won the third prize. The work named “Huaxi – Cloud-shaped Plate” presented by Lin Yang and Ke Yujiang from the 2017 batch, also won the third prize. The following works by students of the 2019 batch won honorable mentions: “Portable Mask Cleaner” presented by Zhang Xinyi, Wang Zicheng, and Chen Zhihui; “Toy Block Speakers” presented by Zhang Yingzhi, Zheng Ruonan, and Huang Zhanquan; and “This is not illusion” presented by Huang Tian.
