On July 26th, the acceptance inspection meeting for the “Multi-physics Spectrometer System of DGUT” was held at CSNS. The expert panel inspected the multi-physics spectrometer on-site, and reviewed the process test report, acceptance report, and other materials. After careful discussion and inquiry, they reached a consensus that the multi-physics spectrometer passed the acceptance inspection and concluded that the test results met all the design technical requirements and were better than the acceptance criterion.
DGUT’s Active Participation in the Construction of National Big Science Facilities Yields Success
DGUT’s multi-physics spectrometer was jointly developed by our university (with an investment of RMB 80 million), the CSNS, and the City University of Hong Kong. It is the first neutron total-scattering spectrometer in China and the first spectrometer of CSNS to be collaboratively developed in China. The performance of the spectrometer has reached the international advanced level. The designed flux is 4 to 5 times that of GEM, the British ISIS total scattering spectrometer, and the resolution is comparable to NOMAD, the megawatt American SNS total-scattering spectrometer.
